never not inspired by Amy Stone's apartment tour
Welcome to another installment of my favorite series, Small Space Decor! Since being stuck at home, I've been thinking a lot about what my ideal quarantine space would look like. Fortunately, I can channel this inspiration into planning a bit for my future apartment! My start date isn't until September, so my fingers are crossed that I can still move to NYC as planned. I am feeling incredibly grateful to have secured a post-grad job, as I can't begin to imagine how stressful it must be for fellow college seniors who are in the middle of the job-hunting process. (if that is you, check out my interview tips blog post here!).

I have no idea where in NYC I will move to (hoping for downtown, possibly East Village!) or who exactly I am living with yet, but I do know that I can't wait to decorate my space!
It's kind of funny how in the past, my main small space priorities were pillows and lamps. Now that I'm moving into an adult apartment and will have to furnish it myself, I'm constantly thinking about flatware and kitchen essentials, too. I've wanted these Aerin scalloped plates and bamboo flatware forever, and a gold bar cart is obviously on my list as well!
When it comes to my apartment next year, you can expect mostly white, a few pops of blue, and rattan and gold accessories sprinkling the small space. I already know there will be too many candles and hopefully, a vintage snuffer keeping them company (always wanted one of those, LOL). I plan to decorate additionally with coffee table books, framed art, and empty bottles of Hendrick's.
Shop the collage:
mirror // console table // diptyque candle + glass cloche
ivory bone frame // bamboo gold frame + surfer print
wine glasses // scalloped plates // marble coasters // bamboo flatware
"wtf" tray // blue candle // bedding
coral decor // new york book // scalloped lamp // woven basket
A few more things I love...

I get major apartment inspiration from Brunch on Chestnut. She is pretty much everything I hope to be, aesthetically. (both images above are hers!)
I am always seeing this style ladder book tower, and I love the look of it, especially for a small space. How cute is it topped with a sconce like the in the photo above?! (home tour via the Everygirl)
