College Graduation Gift Ideas

It is absolutely insane to me to think that I am graduating from college next weekend. I haven't been in a classroom, seen my friends, or gone to a bar in what feels like forever. Like, is it just me, or has anyone else kind of forgotten we're actually students? Of course, I have the occasional homework and zoom class, but it's not the same...

However, it is really important (maybe I'm biased) to still acknowledge the achievements and graduation we would have had. A global pandemic doesn't mean we aren't still graduating, or have put in any less work over the last four-ish years. There is still so much to be celebrated, even if we can't actually wear a cap and gown to commemorate it!

I've rounded up a handful of things that I think would make fabulous graduation gifts if you have someone in your life graduating. These are particularly curated for college students but many would make great high school graduation or graduate school gifts as well!

Mules or Loafers -- I think a timeless, nice pair of loafers or mules is a great gift. I don't have this exact pair, but I do have a couple pairs of mules that I wear all the time in business casual settings. They are so comfortable and versatile, making them a perfect shoe in a more polished environment.

A Tote for Work or Play -- I've gone on and on about the importance of an everyday tote sooo many times on this blog! If you know a graduate who loves to workout or is always on the go, I think the quilted MZ Wallace tote is the perfect tote for her! Or, if you know a graduate starting a new job or going to a lot of interviews, I love this leather tote (solid neutral colors here)!

Luggage -- I am personally going to be doing a lot of travel for my job (consulting!), and also plan to travel home for holidays (when we can travel again, of course), and want a nice, new suitcase so badly. I love the look of this one, and this 2-piece set, which is a great deal!

AirPods and Apple Watch -- I personally don't feel the need to have an Apple Watch, but everyone I know who has one is absolutely obsessed! As for AirPods... I am in love with mine. They changed my life I think, and I'm not even exaggerating a little bit.

Perfume -- This is my all-time favorite perfume for special occasions, and this one and this one are my favorites for everyday wear. I am personally very scent-oriented, so I love associating a scent with a big event in my life. I think gifting someone a perfume for a milestone like graduation will make for a great reminder of that accomplishment every time she sprays it!

Signet Ring -- Timeless jewelry is always a great gift. Need I say more?

Flutes / Barware -- If you know anyone moving into their first apartment, I think cute barware or a set of champagne flutes or wine glasses makes such a fun gift. I personally LOVE this set of champagne coupes (I think coupes are adorably chic!) and this set of vintage-looking short-stem wine glasses-- so European!
