If doing your own laundry intimidates you, join the club. Warning: I am about to sound very, very pathetic and incapable. When I got to college last year, I would not go to the laundry room without a friend for fear I'd put the machine on the wrong setting and destroy my clothes. Even with the help of Google, I never really trusted myself! But now I feel like I’ve gotten a handle on it and I’m excited to share my 4-Step Laundry Hack. Scroll below to see my tips!
Separate laundry into whites, colors, and darks // This is something everyone will tell you to do, and it makes laundry a breeze. For example, if I am bored and one of my laundry bags is full, I can easily toss the contents into the laundry machine without having to separate anything or put any effort into the process (minimal effort is key to not hating laundry...and actually doing it, if you're like me.)
Get to know your settings // Every laundry machine is different, but there are some good rules of thumb. I love these laundry bags from PBdorm because they tell you right on the front what to do for each category of clothing –that you already separated!!
Towels and bedding are different // Towels should be done on their own, and the same goes for bedding and blankets. I usually add some fabric softener into the load of towels to keep them fluffy and fresh! If you skip this step, you might end up with stiff, unabsorbent (is that a word?) towels.
Fold, fold, fold! // There are few better feelings than wrapping yourself up in warm laundry right when it comes out of the dryer. But after that, make sure you don’t throw around your clean clothes and stuff them into drawers. If you actually fold everything nicely, it will fit much better into your closet or dresser, and then when you go to wear it you'll actually be able to because it won't be a wrinkled mess!
What are your laundry tips?

These are some great tips! I'm still pretty pathetic when it comes to doing my laundry, but I can figure it out lol! I love those laundry bags!
