Only 22 days until arguably one of the best days of the year is here! I know I'm not alone with counting down the days until I'm with my family unwrapping presents under the tree, enjoy eggnog and hot chocolate, far too many Christmas cookies, snuggling up in my pajamas, and listening to Christmas music. Just thinking about it gets me excited! However, in preparation for the holiday, there are few things everyone should do before Christmas actually gets here.
1. Stop Shopping for Yourself // Your family and friends have no doubt started shopping for your gifts and now it is your turn to focus more on giving than recieving. For me, I know how hard this can be especially with all of the incredible sales going on, so if I see something I think I just "have to have", I try to purchase it for a friend or someone else who I think will love it just as much! This is a good rule of thumb for the holiday season.
2. Take Advantage of the Radio // I'm the first to plug my phone into my AUX cord the second I turn on my car without ever giving the radio a chance. However, Christmas stations play the widest variety of holiday music just up until Christmas day, so enjoy the music while you can!
3. Go Downtown // Every city (or at leas that I have been to) decorates beautifully their downtown scene with lights, trees, and activities. Make a night out of it and head downtown with friends to go ice skating, take a carriage ride (this was one of the most fun, impromptu things I did with my friends downtown last year), and just walk around enjoying the lights with a cup of hot chocolate.
4. Throw a Party // I posted my holiday party ideas here, and some outfit ideas here too. There's no better way to get in the Christmas spirit than by celebrating with the people you love most in the most fun way possible!
How do you get into the Christmas spirit? It always helps to watch holiday movies and bake some cookies too!

I love all of these tips! I'm planning on baking and watching as many Christmas movies as possible once my Christmas break starts!
