Chill Out Playlist


On Friday I woke up in a funk that I couldn't get out of. Since my junior year of high school, I've had a few experiences where I thought I was having a panic attack or about to lose my shit at any moment, but it's such a rare occurrence that I don't think anything of it until it's happening again. On Friday, I wasn't panicking really, but I was so nauseated and stressed-out and kind of just felt like I was going crazy for no reason. 

When this happens, there are two things I can do to get myself to feel better: distract myself, and wait it out. On Friday I was actually supposed to have a little lunch date with someone, but I was so close to losing my shit that morning that I had to cancel. I seriously thought I was going crazy, and nothing had even happened! I was literally just working myself up to a point of stress that I couldn't tolerate. It's insane how we can do things to ourselves that we know are bad, but we can't stop.

I ultimately decided to go on a long drive, listen to one of my favorite playlists, and then stop at my favorite coffee shop for a cookie and coffee for lunch.

It's been a while since I had one of these days and I can't say it came out of nowhere, but I do know there are little things I can do to make myself work it out. I just want to say that everyone goes through bad days and filters of fear, anxiety, and stress over their emotions, and it's just something we have to work through. 

Listening to this playlist almost instantly helped, and I want to share it in case you're ever in the need for a mellow but also feel-good playlist.
